August 08 Warm n Fuzzy Index:
53% - 37/70
(Last month's reading: 53%)
8/10 - Personal Performance: +1 from previous month. My ROI broke above 8% again (just barely)
6/10 - Peer Performance: No Change.
7/10 - Prosper Management: No Change. John Witchel, co-founder of Prosper left. I’m not sure if this is a big deal or not.
8/10 - Platform Improvement: +1 from previous month. (click here to see site changes)
Charged-off Category on Performance Page – good.
Faster Listings for Qualified Borrowers – not so good.
1/10 - Listing Selection/Volume: -1 from previous month. Listing count was under 2000 when I checked. Where are all the borrowers?
2/10 - External Influences: No Change. Yep, still bad…
5/10 - Viability Forecast: -1 from previous month. August originations were down.
Summary: The index continues sloping down from its high in April. The main culprits are the bad economy in general and the low volume on Prosper.
And if you still happen to be reading this, then you may have noticed that I skipped the Index update for June and July. I recorded the numbers but did not post. Yeah, I’m a bad blogger. You get what you pay for here at the Warm n Fuzzy Prosper Blog…
See you next month! (maybe)
