I was a little surprised at the result, considering I’ve picked up more late borrowers since I last reported. Fortunately the ROI still manages to hover between 7.5% - 8.0%. It is also hovering between the two ROI estimates given by Eric and Lendingstats. (7.57% and 8.68%)
When using the xirr function, I count all loans that are one month late or worse to have $0 loan value. I also included 2 loans that were less than one month late because they have the dreaded “Bankruptcy” tag next to them. Erg…
Below is a little more info on my late loans that I am writing off at the moment. Any extra payments squeezed out by the Collection Agency Amsher at this point will be considered a blessing. Also, based on Prosper’s last bad debt sale attempt, these loans, for all practical purposes, have zero value to anybody but me anyway. I hope I get some more payments out of these deadbeats.

Well, here’s to my current borrowers that they remain current.

Have you see fynanz.com? with the lending bonuses, the returns can get very high - and since these are students that have been vetted, the risk might be lower.
